What Went Well: I successfully completed the task and i've been imaginative with what i have taken a photograph of. Even Better If: I should be collaborative more and take ideas from people.
The one that was most successful one is probably the sixth image because it is really creative, because I just took a photograph with a blank background. In the photograph the composition in my point of view looks perfect, especially the way i crunched it up.
Our task was to write 20 objects that we can think of including edges, then we had to take photographs of what we listed.
We are looking at edges to help us frame images. From my list the objects that i used where, a edge of a phone, a badge, a shoe, a window, a bin, a door, a building, stair case, glasses, paper, table. I chose these because they stand out more and are interesting.
Our task today was to go around and take 10 pictures that we thought were effective they needed to include, lines, shape, form, texture, pattern, colour, space, composition, framing, angles.
I found the task pretty easy but quite challenging because you don't just take a picture of a random edge you need to take a photograph of an angle that you think is effective and why.
I found taking photographs of the edge of doors easier because every door have sharp edges.
I found taking photographs of peoples drawings that include edges hard, because the angles are usually not on point.
On my ninth photograph the type of edge is curved and i find that effective because, most of my pictures are just of sharp edges but i think curved edges are better.
Our task was to take interesting pictures of edges.
I found the task easy but the uploading was quite hard.
I found taking photographs of curved edges kind of easy because there's a lot of edges in my house, even though there is an even amount of sharp edges in the house i find curved edges more interesting.
I found the first and fifth image the best because the first photograph has a really curved edge and the fifth photographer has layers of edges.
William Eggleston.
Dolores Marat.
I chose these photographs because Dolores Marat has used a lot of colours and the light on some of her photographs are really bright. I think she should tone them down. Also it looks like she took some photographs in decisive moment as they are out of focused. In her photographs she includes everything that she see's, she does not crop anything out.
Our task today was to pick out of Marat or Eggleston on who inspires us most and list things that you have seen in their photographs. I chose Marat because in her photographs she does photos in decisive moment but its looks really interesting and has a lot of detail. I have tried to do similar photographs to Marat.
I found the task kind of difficult because there is a lot of colours around the school.
I have found trying to get the photos out of focus interesting because it looks really good.
I found taking dull pictures challenging because theres not a lot of shadow and darkness.
Our task was to create a 3D paper structure and we had a post-it note that had a word on it and my word said colour, so i had to base my 3D paper structure on colour.
I found the task difficult at first because i have never done it before but when i did it, it was really easy. What went well was that my structure was 3D and had a lot of colour so it was successful. Even better if i made it bigger and put more detail and shapes.
This links to edges by the word that was on your post-it note. When someone looks at your work they will see what stands out the most and possibly zoom into it and frame it.
I choose these images because they were the ones that stood out for me the most, mainly because of the colour.
Trip to the Tate Modern:
The trip was really fun, the best thing i liked about the trip was getting to take photographs of your favourite things. The challenges that we had to do was easy and fun because we got to go around with our partners and take interesting photos. My favourite photograph of the day is the is the one were we used the postcard with holes through it and we took a picture. My favourite piece of art was:
Because the colours are really vibrant ad they mix together very well. Also i feel like it changes ur mood because of the nice colours.
Background:
Photo sculpture and landscape.
From photoshop i learn't how to enlarge smaller objects, for example my sculpture into making them life size which is shown above in the photographs.
POSTCARD SCULPTURE
Task: We had to choose three or four images and print them. Then we had to stick them on a piece of card, then cut them into shapes. After that we had to take photographs of them in different angles.
Best images:
These two are the best images because i like the angle i took them in and it looks like light is sitting at the bottom of the cut out part.
FINAL PIECE PHOTOS
FINAL PIECE BACKGROUNDS
FINAL PEICE
Finale piece evaluation:
WWW: I successfully completed my final piece and i got to do what i wanted to do. EBI: It should of been more tidy. I would do more and make it more tidy and i would take my time doing. The background has edges in it so thats how it relates to edges and the cut out pieces include edges aswell. Because it makes the photograph stand out.
The whole of edges page evaluation:
Overall my edges page has been successful because i have done all the tasks and i did the best i can. My favourite bit of this website is the Tate Modern photographs because they are very colourful and interesting.
